Helping the growth of the forest product industry in Turkey.

“Canlam Ahsap Endustri” was incorporated in Turkey in 2022 and engaged in wood-based production, helping the growth of the forest product industry in Turkey.

 

We produce melamine-faced medium-density fiberboard (MDF) and Chipboards and export them to the world market. In “Canlam”, we produce high-quality products using the latest technology to match our main objective.

Why choose CANLAM?

Medium-density fibreboard (MDF)  and chipboards are engineered wood products made by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibres, often in a de fibre, combining it with wax and a resin binder, and forming panels by applying high temperature and pressure.

MDF and chipboards are generally denser than plywood. It is made up of separated fibres but can be used as a building material similar in application to plywood. It is more robust and much denser than particle board.

Strength & Stability

  • Does not expand and contract in moist/humid environments, which would typically cause cracking on wood doors.

  • Very minimal swelling if it gets wet.

  • MDF and Chipboards are a fantastic choice for Inset Frame cabinetry since they will not expand in moist environments, which would cause doors to rub and become difficult to open, as wood doors occasionally do.

  • Painted finishes will not crack in the joints due to expansion/contraction.

  • The density of MDF and Chipboards accept hinges and screws better than more porous or open-grained wood, creating a stronger hold. 

  • Consistent strength throughout door construction, as opposed to natural wood.

Smooth, Clean Look

  • The density of MDF and Chipboards makes for a cleaner cut during processing and tighter seams between rails & stiles compared to paint-grade wood.

  • Smooth finish look without wood grain patterns coming through (which is often evident on paint-grade doors).

  • The softwood material used in our MDF and chipboards makes the material smooth enough to finish. This material significantly reduces the raised fibres you may get from other manufacturers.
